This two-part portrait of Pippa Middleton in crumpets immortalizes Kate Middleton's sister in edible form. Artist Laura Hadland is behind the cheeky masterpiece, enlisting over a dozen other artists to help her compose the piece with some 15,000 crumpets, butter, Marmite and jam.
The first portrait features a backside shot of Pippa Middleton in crumpets; the original photo and video from the royal wedding inspired a viral Internet obsession about Middleton's rear end. The second portrait features Middleton's face.
The portraits of Pippa Middleton in crumpets were commissioned by Beefeater Grill, who said, "We wanted to do something to celebrate the launch of our new breakfast menu and thought it would be interesting to find out who the nation would most like to share their first meal of the day with." Since Middleton was the overwhelming winner of the poll, Hadland created her portrait the following day.
