With summer comes pies, the two go hand in hand. Make one of these great American pies for Father's Day, Fourth of July, or just because. They will make you feel very patriotic.

This recipe calls for golden syrup or treacle. If you cannot find it substitute with light or dark corn syrup or light molasses.
