Grandma's Gingersnaps

Ingredients
3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup molasses
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon ground ginger
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Cream the butter and one cup of sugar together in a medium bowl until smooth

Place dough balls two inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes (depending on how soft or crisp you'd like your cookies to be)
