While at the L.A. Times Festival of Books on Sunday, Ace of Cakes star Duff Goldman revealed that he is expanding his appointment only cake services to Los Angeles. If all goes as planned, Charm City Cakes West will open its doors on June 1st in Santa Monica.
The original Charm City will continue in Baltimore under the tutelage of executive sous chef Geoffrey Manthorne, as Goldman serves the City of Angels. Duff insists that Charm City Cakes West will continue to offer the crazy cakes on the show, but the presentation should not upstage the flavor.
Goldman added, "I also want people to know that we do great cakes, the kind Martha Stewart makes, but better."
