Happy Earth Day! Earlier this week, we learned that Starbucks would give away a free cup of coffee or tea to customers who bring their own mugs to participating stores. Well, they are not the only organization with a special Earth Day promotion. Take a quick look at these and head out for some Earth Day freebies (but ride your bike or take a bus to go there). Admittedly, not all of these are food-related, but you might enjoy them just the same.
1. Caribou Coffee: Today really is a good day to grab coffee with someone. The chain will give you a free cup of coffee if you bring reusable drinkware with you today.
2. National Parks: Admission to every single National Park (there are 394) is free on Earth Day.
3. Lowes: Stop by your local Lowes store for a free tree today. The company plans to give away one million today.
4. Disney Store: If you come to your local Disney store with 5 plastic bags, they will give you a free Mickey Mouse reusable tote bag. Stores will also have a scavenger hunt to educate people about the planet.
5. Origins: While supplies last only. Bring in your current skin cleanser and Origins will swap it out for a free full-size bottle of their own. Your skin and the environment will thank you.
