ConAgra Being Sued for Being Big Fat Liars

August 25, 2011

The label on ConAgra's Wesson oil says, "natural", but the oil is made from genetically modified canola. This means that the label is a form of false advertising.

GMO canola would never have existed outside of a lab, and the word natural implies that it comes from nature. In fact Monsanto's own definition of GMOs are, "Plants or animals that have had their genetic makeup altered to exhibit traits that are not naturally theirs."

Over the years many people have been outraged by this deception, but have felt unable to really do anything about it. Now, there is a class action lawsuit which has the potential to change the regulations regarding food labels.

It's absolutely necessary for people to fight back, or one day we may wake up in a world where real food no longer exists!

Gloria- I TOTALLY agree. It is so disheartening to see how little the food industry cares about our health. We ALL need to rethink the way we look at food and what we ingest. Everything needs to be labeled HONESTLY.

This is why I eat, promote and inspire others to eat sustainable and local foods. This movemnt isn't about "argula, latte drinking, liberals" It's about EATING REAL FOODS! This is what our bodies run on.

Over and over my client's health turns around when they got off the processed junk and begin to eat real foods. We just aren't equipped to live on a diet of chemicals. We weren't made in a lab, we come from nature and so should our food!
