Simple Fig and Gorgonzola Tarts

Fig and gorgonzola tarts are a simple recipe that anyone can make.  These tarts only require five ingredients and are perfect for serving at parties.  Store bought puff pastry is rolled thin and then cut into rectangles.  It is sprinkled with gorgonzola cheese, a type of blue cheese, and dried figs before being baked in the oven.  Drizzle honey over the top of the tarts for the finishing touch. The combination of salty and sweet is irresistible and it will be difficult to just have one of these fig and gorgonzola tarts.

Fig and Gorgonzola Tarts With Honey Drizzle

Ingredients:

1 box of puff pastry rectangle
Gorgonzola
ripe figs
hazelnuts
honey
 
Directions:
 
Turn the oven to 180°C.
 
Roll out the puff pastry from the package and taking using the baking sheet as a guide.
 
Prick the dough with a fork.
 
With the tip of a knife lightly etch designs a rectangle 1 cm from the edge, so that will not leak out of the gorgonzola pasta during cooking.
 
Cut into pieces and distribute evenly the gorgonzola in the quantity you want on each rectangle.
 
Wash and dry the figs, cut into wedges and put them over the Gorgonzola.
 
Break the nuts coarsely and add them over each pastry.
 
Bake for 13-14 minutes.
 
Serve immediately.
 
If you like the sweet-salty combination try to put a drizzle of your favorite honey ;)
