Although any news from the National Enquirer can be taken with a grain of salt, they have broken some huge stories. Their latest concerns Paula Deen and her alleged diagnosis of type 2 diabetes that she's hiding from her fans.
Friends of Paula say that she was diagnosed several years ago, yet continue to make her sugar rich, high-fat recipes
A family friend of Deen said:
"When Paula was diagnosed with diabetes I think she was worried that if her secret got out, it would make her look like a hypocrite. At first she resisted doctor's orders to drastically change her diet, but eventually she realized that if she didn't it would put her into an early grave.
Hopefully she'll come clean to her fans. Paula is so popular that her honesty could help people change their lives."
It was her husband Michael Groover that convinced Paula to change her diet. She's even lost weight from the switch.
No matter the truth, we wish Paula well.
