For those who are not familiar with French chef Joel Robuchon, he has 26 Michelin stars, more than any chef in the world. If he wasn't busy enough, Robuchon announced the opening of two new restaurants at the seaside Resorts World Sentosa complex in Singapore.
The 52-seat L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon is an experimental concept, bringing together the preparation of Japanese cuisine and the atmosphere of Spanish tapas bars. Chefs will closely interact with the guests during their meal.
The Joel Robuchon Restaurant will be showcasing exactly what the chef does best. It is a fine dining establishment, serving French cuisine "with the quality of service of a three Michelin-star restaurant."
Robuchon said:
"Today we are very happy to be in Singapore, especially because when we travel around the world, we meet a lot of Singaporean guests. They are very refined, very elegant, they know their wines very well, they know their food very well. So it is a very good time to be in Singapore right now."
Hope this doesn't distract from the other 22 restaurants bearing his name.
